Quantitative and qualitative research demonstrates that self-regulated learning (SRL) increases academic and lifelong outcomes for all students, particularly students experiencing extreme poverty and homelessness (Eshelman, 2021). SEL lacks a self-regulated learning focus which is critical for all student learning. Without self-regulation, students, regardless of age, grade, or other demographic, are lost. This is the first of a series of micro-courses that equip educators to foster self-regulation in their students.
